FriFotos: The Beauty Of Spring Around The World

Around the world spring is always a gorgeous time of year, one that is only surpassed by the majesty of fall. The flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, newborn animals are plentiful thanks to the favorable conditions and abundance of food. In general every color is brilliant, even sound invigorating, even breath refreshing…sometimes you can truly smell spring in the air.

While photographs can’t tingle all of these senses, this week’s FriFotos theme is SPRING and hopefully these spring photos will help put a little make your Friday a bit easier, wherever in the world you might be.

    • Hahaha completely agree there! That photo was taken in May 2010 in Edgar Evans State Park, Tennessee. The mosquitoes were so bad we were practically eaten alive.

Our tactic? To get really drunk. Not only did we find that we didn’t feel the bites as much when drinking but also as our blood alcohol content started to rise it seemed to kill the mosquitoes…or at the very least make them too drunk to bite us.

      • That sounds like *just* the kind of idea I might have while camping and drinking. “Guys, we have to get drunker to kill all the ‘skeeters!”

  1. Ouch! I feel your pain with those mossies! Not nice at all.

Great choice of theme Derek and one sure to brighten the mood.

Spring is starting to come into full bloom here in the UK so we can appreciate it too. And we are starting to get some sunshine, hurry!

I love the picture of the butterfly; congrats on catching the moment.

    • Thanks “Guy” 🙂 I try to be creative with FriFotos and take a slightly different approach than others. I also feel that only one photo accompanied by one sentence (as some do) is an utterly worthless post. Hopefully people find my expanded FriFotos slightly more entertaining 😉

Glad to hear the weather is warming and sun is shining on your end…hope that doesn’t bring any painful attacks from the mossies!

And in regards to the butterfly, while I am certainly no great photographer, everyone once in a brief while I do manage to snap the right photo at just the right time 😛 Thank you for noticing!
