Photos From Jaipur, The Pink City Of India

The breathtakingly beautiful and history Jaipur Pink City is a superb architecture and countless things to do, see and eat. This city was built in perfect Nine Squares and wide roads were designed to intersect each segment. The segments were also linked internally by small roads. The city is a perfect example of how well the architectural concept was developed at that time. The old city, which is sometimes referred to as the Walled City, Jaipur is uniformly painted in pink color and thus earned its nickname.

Jaipur attracts hordes of tourists because of its many historic monuments and stunning architecture, the most famous and well-known of which include Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Matar, City Palace, the Water Palace, and many more.

Hawa Mahal, the Wind Palace — amazing how the wind continues to flow through it, even to this day

My first trip to Jaipur was preparing for the Rickshaw Run, however since then I have returned 4-5 times, maybe more….I love this city!   ~Derek Freal

Jaipur is also famous for its arts and crafts, specially the blue pottery, Bandhej work, and Sanganeri print linen. All of this is but a fraction of the reasons why Jaipur is a must see destination when in India 🙂

October to March is the best suitable time for visiting this lovely city.
